Birmingham to the Gulf was produced, filmed and edited by Matthew J Grcic for the Southern Environmental Law Center's Southern Exposure. Southern Exposure is a six week fellowship located in Birmingham, AL to promote environmental issues affecting the state of Alabama. Birmingham to the Gulf is about the Cahaba River and its rich biodiversity. This rich biodiversity is threatened due to two large navigation lock and dams downstream on the Alabama River, which flow into the Mobile River Basin.
